WELCOME TO VERBAL BEHAVIOR FORUM CANADA

Verbal Behavior Forum Canada is a resource designed for parents and professionals who are guided by the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and who are interested in teaching Verbal Behavior to children with autism and other developmental disabilities.

The site is designed for parents, behavior interventionists, teachers, support workers and other people involved in the lives of children with autism and children who have complex language-based developmental disabilities.

Our mission is to support and inform families and professionals by providing information about ABA using Verbal Behavior techniques (based on B.F. Skinner's Analysis of Verbal Behavior ) for intensive intervention programs in homes and schools.

Our goals include:

• increasing the knowledge and awareness of the applied behavior techniques of Verbal Behavior;
• providing creative ideas for individualized home-based intervention or school programs;
• providing a chat-room for parents using Verbal Behavior techniques to share their stories and questions and network with other parents;
• providing information about available training workshops for developing skills in Verbal Behavior;
• and providing links to other valuable websites for parents and professionals serving children with autism and complex language-based developmental disabilities.
